Lisa-Photo-AboutI am a Clinical Psychologist with more than 17 years of experience. My path to becoming a Psychologist began with my interest in people – how they communicate, who they are and what makes each person unique. I have made it my life’s work to understand people and human behavior. I am grateful to do work about which I am passionate and which benefits others.

Before becoming a Psychologist, I worked for over 10 years in marketing for two international firms in New York and Chicago. I managed marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and supervised staff.

The work was challenging and fascinating in its own way, but the most rewarding part was managing and mentoring staff. I can appreciate how this experience has enriched my understanding of people as well as provided me insight into the corporate world.

I enjoyed work as a manager but realized I wanted to work with people in a different way, in order to really support growth in their lives. It was at that time that I decided to expand my understanding of psychology and I attended Loyola University in Chicago and graduated with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. I continued my education, graduating with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Chicago, Illinois.

My fascination with people and my passion to learn about psychology continues. I regularly enhance my clinical skills, frequently participating in cutting edge psychotherapy training on treating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, stress, and couples therapy. I also have specialized training in attachment theory, EMDR, Imago Relationship Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and mindfulness therapy.

With over 17 years of practicing psychology, I have a breath of knowledge that only comes with years of hands-on experience. In my practice, I bring together this experience with my formal training and techniques garnered from additional studies to move my clients forward in their lives.

In addition to my clinical work, I have taught at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology as well as trained and supervised doctoral psychology students. I also provide consultation to mental health professionals and businesses. I have written several articles and lectured extensively on the treatment of stress, depression and anxiety and couples therapy.

I provide both individual therapy and couples counseling. My office is located in Irvine and Newport Beach and I serve the greater Orange County CA area.

I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist by both the state of California (license #PSY18299) and the state of Illinois (license #071005614). I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
